Introduction to Lecture: The cultivation of critical thinking is a prominent issue in foreign language education. Interpreting is essentially a high-level human intellectual activity, which requires interpreters to possess proficient language skills, as well as cognitive power and critical thinking. Learning interpreting is an effective way to improve one’s critical thinking, which in turn can improve the efficiency and effectiveness of interpreting learning. In teaching, students can be guided by teachers to practice different sub skillsets of interpreting thinking, in order to reduce cognitive load, and cultivate collaborative abilities in the interpreting process.
