On April 28, 2019, the 11th Sungkyun Korean Writing Contest, sponsored by Sungkyunkwan University, was held in the Ninth Conference Room of Yulong International Hotel in Beijing. 75 Korean major students from colleges and universities across China participated in the contest.
The contest aims to improve the Korean writing ability of Chinese college students, to meet the growing demand for Korean language specialists in the exchanges between China and South Korea, and to enhance mutual understanding and friendship between the Chinese and Korean people. The competition lasted for 2 hours. After fierce competition, Guan Yingying, a senior student from the Korean Department of JLU School of Foreign Languages, won third prize for her work "Neighbor (이웃)".
