The Memorandum for Strategic Cooperation Between the College of Foreign Languages and the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies was agreed and signed

        In the morning of 14 January, the ceremony for signing the Memorandum for Strategic Cooperation Between the College of Foreign Languages and the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies was held in conference room 318 of the Foreign Languages Building.

        The leaders from the both sides attended the ceremony and the Party Secretary Pang Jincai presided over the ceremony. The cooperation primarily aims to make full use of the disciplinary advantages of both sides, explore new approaches for interdisciplinary studies, accelerate the building of world-class disciplines and majors, expand the talent pool and serve our nation and society better. On the ceremony, the dean of the College of Foreign Languages, Zhou Yifu, and the dean of the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies signed the memorandum on behalf of both sides. Thereafter, both Zhou and Yu delivered their speeches in this regard. Zhou said the Institute of Northeast Asian Studies was highly capable of academic research in areas of politics, economy, history, etc..

        Building on past successful cooperation, the signed memorandum could serve as a new platform for more practical communication and exchanges. It suggests that the College of Foreign Languages will make further use of its advantages to introduce more high-quality cooperation. Yu said the College of Foreign Languages had an excellent academic tradition and unique disciplinary advantage. Involving many areas of cooperation, such as academic research, platform provision, talents cultivation and so on, the memorandum symbolizes a more intimate, deepened and effective mode of cooperation and is an important measure of interdisciplinary cooperation and resources sharing. The Institute of Northeast Asian Studies will provide full support for academic studies in the College of Foreign Languages and will push forward cooperation of both sides into a new stage.
