The award winners of the "Russian Literature and Arts" Prize for Literary Translation – the 14th Global Russian-Chinese and Chinese-Russian Translation Contest were announced on 2 January. 885 participants from Peking University, Lomonosov Moscow State University, St Petersburg State University, Beijing Foreign Studies University, and other schools participated in the contest. Ma Jing, a senior-year student of the Russian Department of Jilin University, won the second award in the Russian-Chinese track for her excellent language skills and translation abilities, and also won an honourable mention in the Chinese-Russian track. Ma Jing, the first award winner of this contest in the Russian Department of Jilin University, won a reputation for it.
"Russian Literature and Arts" Prize for Literary Translation – the 14th Global Russian-Chinese and Chinese-Russian Translation Contest was co-hosted by the Center for Translation Studies of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies, Higher School of Translation and Interpreting of Lomonosov Moscow State University, Russian Literature and Arts (China), Translation Theory (Russia), and East China Normal University. Aiming to select talents and promote the development of Russian-Chinese and Chinese-Russian translation, it is one of the contests with the largest number of participants and the highest level in this field. Having been held for 14 consecutive years, the Global Russian-Chinese and Chinese-Russian Translation Contest is currently a highly prestigious international-level Russian-Chinese translation contest.
